Updates to the Audi RS 5 Model Family
As mentioned previously, Audi’s refreshed RS 5 family consists of the Audi RS 5 Coupé and Audi RS 5 Sportback. Both variants have undergone a number of updates, to ensure that they are the finest RS 5 models to date.
In terms of exterior, the RS 5 Coupé and the Sportback were made more muscular, yet remain streamlined. The vehicles’ front ends were entirely redesigned, with the single-frame grille now being far flatter and wider than before. For a sleeker look, the single-frame grilles have now gone frameless. The grilles now also feature a 3D honeycomb structure design in gloss black, which is typical of all the latest RS models.
The stance of the RS 5 Coupé and Sportback has grown sportier and more powerful as well, thanks to the widening of the wheel arches. Furthermore, the LED headlight shape was revised and both RS 5 variants now boast matrix LED headlights featuring darkened bezels.
Step inside either Audi RS 5 variant and you will be met by a comfortably spacious, premium cabin. The dark colour scheme and strong horizontal lines enhance the elite interior feeling, making any time spent inside memorable.
The standard MMI touch display operating concept found in both the RS 5 Coupé and Sportback is a 10.1-inch big, freestanding display that features acoustic feedback. This display is positioned slightly more towards the driver for ease of use.
When it comes to performance, the new RS 5 models have a top speed of 250 km/h, which can be further increased to 280 km/h. Both the Coupé and Sportback can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. This immense power and exceptional performance come from the 2.9-litre TFSI twin-turbo V6 engine and quattro all-wheel drive system the vehicles are fitted with.
